Destination Wedding Photography in Airlie Beach

Hands up if you love cruise ships 🙂

Now imagine jumping on a cruise ship sailing away and at the stop at Airlie Beach jumping off with your nearest friends and family and getting married.

This is exactly what Sam & Jamie did and I was along with them to capture all the fun. Jamie had hair and makeup done in the Salon and got dressed on the Boat. We then caught the tender boat to get married over at Airlie Beach.

Now I have captured a wedding at Airlie Beach before, however the ideal time due to glare on water etc would be after 4.00pm. Not for this September wedding! We had to be back on board at 4 so we had a intimate 1pm ceremony. The weather gods were fairly kind to us. Sun and cloud cover made it a bit easier to create that beautiful aqua backdrop of Airlie Beach.

We had wind though up on the point but we still created magic. What an absolutely amazing time we had and we even managed to capture sunset on the cruise ship. 🙂
