Destination Wedding Photography in Newcastle
Luke & Ashley’s special day was held in Newcastle NSW and we captured their destination wedding photography.
We created a great package for this couple for 5 hours under $1500. With places I have not shot at, I’m happy to cover my own airfare and accommodation as a thank you for having me visit.
Being my 1st time here I always fly down 2- 3 days before hand to scope out the spots. Newcastle you certainly bought the goods. Don’t be frightened to hire someone who has not captured in a certain area before. Destination weddings are our specialty and we plan even when the weather is not on our side.
Piers, cliffs, sandstone, the old BHP oil sites and lots of old convict buildings. Safe too say this photographers creative mind was in overdrive.
The weather however was not on my side in those few days it was wind, rain and moody clouds, Not a problem instead of sunset we used the mood boards of the beautiful reds and yellows of the cliffs. We utilised the rocks with the crashing waves and of course the cute pier that dates back to convict days for this couples portraits.
Luke and Ashley prep was low key. The boys got ready at best mans house which was phenomenal being in the inner old part of the city. We could capture and use that landscape, with the rooftop as well. Ashley opted to get ready at home and it was just as good with her bridal crews coloured dresses.
St George’s park just outside the city was the perfect ceremony spot before our portrait session began with mingling and family shots.
We had so much fun capturing and creating this couples special day in Newcastle and we cannot wait to visit again.
