Destination Wedding Photography – Melbourne

Capturing destination wedding photography in Melbourne the cultural, hip city of Australia.

This beautiful city is the First place Ben & Naomi met when they were working in the Eureka 89 Sky Tower.

So many things to love about Melbourne including a great Atmosphere to get married.

Ben & Naomi were meant to get married in 2020 but good old covid postponed this. The positive from this was that they were able to rethink what they really wanted for their wedding, which was originally in Toowoomba.

In late 2021 the final decision was made they were doing back to where it all started and we were just as excited. I have currently captured at so many different locations and adding Melbourne in has been exciting especially after covid.

Two days Prior, myself and Tiffany, the videographer boarded the plane and away we went. Once we landed and checked into our hotel, we hit the ground running looking for amazing spots for portraits and my goodness we did not need to look too far.

Photography Locations in Melbourne

On the day, Melbourne certainly turned up the most beautiful weather. We started with the boys in a upbeat Penthouse in the city. Then we were taken over to Crown resort for Bridal prep.

The best thing about capturing is these guys were so chilled, laidback and had heaps of laughs. Quite an adventure for me and Tiff when the Uber dropped us off at the wrong entrance of crown and we were basically running through the Gaming area to get to the hotel side. (Can you imagine it!?). It was a Hoot and we got lots of laughs.

The ceremony was held at Siglo a quaint little cafe in the heart of Melbourne City. The guest list was small with only parents and closest friends totaling 25 people. It was very cosy and intimate, with lots of mingling and lots of laughs. Ben loves Kanye West Music, so like any good photographer we got that tune happening and got the Father of the bride (who is from the UK) up on the stage doing a Dance off it was the best.

Portraits

For the portraits we ventured over to South Melbourne, Flinders St Station, Hosea Lane. It was such pretty park and road shots and of course we were taken up to the top of Eureka Tower for a portrait because that’s where this romance started. So much to put in one Blog! Make sure you check out all the pics.

And if we have never shot at your venue, don’t’ stress this is why we are hired, we scope out spots we also get a different perspective to get photos ❤️
