An engagement turned surprised wedding – destination wedding photography shoot

Dan & Chantelle’s special day was planned to be a engagement party as far as our guests knew anyway 🙂 However bigger plans were at play out, as these guys were indeed planning their surprise wedding. What a absolute magical elopement this was.

We started out at Zachery’s at Hastings Street, Noosa where Dan & Chantelle guests were wining and dining on fabulous food completely unaware of what was going to happen.

Their Planner, Brittney was amazing she owns Soulfully Intended Wedding Planning and everything was running without a hitch. Even that beautiful Noosa Weather was holding strong from the previous rains during the week.

To announce that this was a wedding, I organized everyone into a Group Shot and our couple was standing up at the back with the signs ready, guests still thinking it was just a normal group shot.

Boom! Signs went up and the Woo Hoo’s and OMG’s started. Such an epic moment!

Dan & Chantelle chose my 5-hour package and it was just the perfect size for them and what they were needing.

We managed to fit Announcement, Bridal prep, Ceremony, Portraits and their small reception into this time frame.

Another amazing detail of this wedding was they had a cocktail reception on a River cruise boat so much fun!!! Never shot on a boat before and it was such a great way to capture guests relaxing and just being themselves.

Couples kind words:

“Kat was so amazing to work with, fun, professional and her images are stunning. She is a pure artist. She did 5 hours with us and we got almost 700 edited images, were struggling to pick our favourites! Cannot recommend her enough!”
