We were originally due to capture Nick & Shannon’s wedding photography at Karoomba Lavender Farm in May. However, it turned into not just a very wet day, but everyone was literally flooded in. 2022 certainly has bought lots of the wet stuff… rain!! These guys ended up having to say I do at the place they were getting ready at, a local motel. All the highways to their location were shut you could not get in or out.
We always have a Plan B, for things like sickness, extreme weather events. One of the most important things you can ask your vendor is what is your back up! We work with some excellent other photographers for events like these, so after a few quick calls the morning of we managed to find a solution. One of my colleagues who happened to live in the town of Boonah, that was quickly turning into an island, was able to cover the ceremony.
What now? Well with no way in or out of the venue they were meant to be getting married at the date was reshuffled and we got to do it all again. I would have to say Nichola was a one in a million bride who just went with the flow. Though of course when your flooded in, options are limited. But at the end of the day all 99% of my couples want is to say I do to the one they love.
Karoomba Lavender Farm scenery is absolutely to die for! With the winery, surrounding hills, the beautiful Chapel and of course the fresh lavender, it’s a superb spot to have your special day or even to renew your vows. So me and the videographer, at Tiffany Jane Photography were soooo excited to finally capture this couple’s day they were meant to have. So many moments were captured from the redo of prep, to ceremony to the casual & fun reception. Every part of it was amazing.
With a fun Bridal party, we got so many amazing real and happiness flowed through each image.
